As a detailed research project I underwent a deep dive into the author Louisa May Alcott and specifically her novel "Little Women" I typeset the first and last of her chapters in the style of a newspaper/magazine in which short stories like her own would have been printed in years ago. I split up the text into sections like newspaper entries and signed them alongside popular alias' that female writers have published under as well as common newspaper advertisements from the 1800s. To contrast this, I typeset the last chapter with those female alias' true names and more progressive newspaper advertisements that were released later on. I was able to develop detailed InDesign skills and experiment with various printing methods and paper stock. This project alongside my classmates was exhibited in the Melbourne University Library in May/June 2024 as part of the Melbourne Art Book Fair.
